NICE TO MEET YA!

I’m Joy – a food writer, editor, and recipe developer based in NYC. I love throwing croissant parties, collecting sneakers, and obsessing over how to make food taste, look, and sound delicious.

A bit about me: After attending pastry school at the Institute of Culinary Education, I worked on the pastry team at Gramercy Tavern before launching Gem Cakes (a sweet treat featured in the New York Times) and freelance writing for various food media outlets. You can find my bylines in Food52, Eater, Bon Appétit, Epicurious, Food Network, Simply Recipes, The Kitchn, and more.

I was also an Assistant Food Editor in the test kitchen for the Hearst Lifestyle Food Group, developing and cross-testing recipes for a diverse portfolio of house publications (Good Housekeeping, Women’s Health, Woman’s Day, Prevention), as well as product testing and writing both digital and print content. I’d love to connect!
